Maintaining Linseed Painted Surfaces with Linseed Wax is Easy
and Inexpensive
Linseed oil wax is made from linseed oil and bees wax. The wax
is used as a surface protector on unpainted, varnished or painted
wooden surfaces.
Ideal for protecting exterior hardwoods.
The wax is easy to apply with a sponge or cloth. The surface should
be clean and dry. 1 liter of wax covers approximately 215 square
feet depending on the dryness of the surface.

Linseed wax gives outstanding
protection for exterior linseed painted surfaces. May be used
on all surfaces from floors to carpentry. This door demonstrates
how you may bring the color back to a surface painted 10 years
ago.

Suitable for use on wooden work surfaces, furniture, garden
furniture, wooden decks, windows and doors.
- Clean the wood surface with linseed oil soap and rinse with
water. Allow the surface to dry. If necessary, remove paint or
varnish with infrared heat. (Silent
Paint Remover™). Buff with medium steel-wool to get a smooth
surface.
- Apply a coat of heated, cleaned, boiled Linseed Oil.. lukewarm
is sufficient. Allow the surface to dry. Heated linseed oil has
a thinner viscosity and will penetrate into the wood deeper and
faster. Allow the surface to dry a few days.
- Apply the Linseed Maintenance Wax with a green pad, natural
brush or lint free cloth.
- Wait approximately 2 hours.
- Polish the surface with a cloth. Repeat the application after
a few days if you desire.
- NOTE: As rags and paper soaked with Linseed Oil can spontaneously
combust please dispose of them carefully after first soaking in
water.
For better protection we recommend two coats of wax on items subject
to the weather. Please allow at least a week between coats to give
the wax a chance to cure. The result is a rich and saturated
wood surface that will shield the wood and provide protection for
a long time.
Binder: Cold pressed, oxidized Swedish linseed oil and beeswax.
Drier: Manganese Siccative.
CASE STUDY: Organic Linseed oil wax is ideal for
protecting car and truck
tires. It will preserve the color and maintain the rubber like
no other product. Most chemical products from an auto store for
maintaining your tires actually destroy rubber and ultimately shorten
the life of your tires. Go Green for your car and truck and protect
the environment. Read
